The Problem

Unless you're one of the fortunate few that has a perfect body of water outside their back door, you've probably struggled to load your kayak onto your roof rack. Even those strong enough to physically hoist the boat are left to manhandle 16' of awkwardness.

The Solution

The patented Yak-A-Loader's specialized hubs allow the wheels to roll forward and back when using it as a cart. However, as soon as you lift the nose of your kayak to load it onto your roof rack, a locking mechanism engages to prevent the wheels from rolling backwards. This allows you to lift the front of your boat into position and then walk around to lift the back and slide it fully onto the rack.

How It Works

  1. Simply place the tail end of the kayak into the Yak-A-Loader with the rubberized bar closest to the wheels under the kayak and the further bar on top.
  2. Walk your boat to the back of your vehicle, and place the nose onto the roof rack.
  3. Walk around to the tail of the kayak and begin lifting it. The Yak-A-Loader will slide off.
  4. Push your kayak forward onto the rack. It's that easy!
